Tuesday appointments: $230 (telehealth only)

Saturday appointments: $270 (telehealth or F2F)

Note: The 2024-2025 Australian Psychological Society National Schedule of Suggested Fees suggests setting psychology session fees to $311 per 45- 60 minute session.

Rebates and Mental Health Treatment Plans

Clients referred by a GP or psychiatrist for individual therapy can receive a rebate of $141.85/session. To receive a rebate, clients will need both a referral letter, and a mental health treatment plan developed prior to the date of the session on which the rebate is to be claimed. Referral letters and Mental Health Treatment Plans can be provided by the referring health professional, or by the client (emailed to admin@solarpsych.com or faxed to 07 3132 1921).

Rebates can generally be claimed for 10 treatment sessions each calendar year, usually with a renewal of the plan required via the GP after the 6th session.

Some private health funds provide rebates for psychological services for individual and couples. This will differ depending on the health fund and the level of cover. Please contact your private health fund to determine if you are covered.

Cancellations and Re-scheduling

I appreciate if you can provide as much notice as possible if needing to change appointments. I attempt to limit the number of clients I have open to me so that I can be available for regular appointments for my existing clients. This means it is difficult for me to fill cancelled sessions. Cancellation fees are as follows:

More than 48 hours notice (minimum): No fee charged
48-24 hours notice: Half-session fee
Less than 24 hours notice: Full session fee

Please note: no rebate for cancellation fees can be claimed through Medicare or private health.

I do not charge a cancellation fee if I am given at least 48 hours notice of cancellation or re-scheduling.
